The candidate will be responsible for driving technical decisions in order to maintain current skillset and expand the future technical skills of Turbomachinery team.

The candidate will work closely with the Phoenix team and be the recognized as the technical expert for existing and future turbomachinery components design and development.

Job Responsibilities : ·Lead from front on few complex technical projects to ensure that all deliverables are met with high quality and develop standards for the team members to take over in the future.

  • Global focal / equivalent for one or two key turbomachinery technical area ·Critical focal point for developing turbomachinery team’s strategic decisions in developing the future technical expertise by working with GBE, Phoenix partners, advanced technology and senior leadership ·Primary focal for driving innovation across E&PS in the area of Turbomachinery by reviewing the related ideas, grooming the ideas, working with chief and business leaders to mature the ideas to cross IPDS 2B exit.
  • Mentor and coach global and domestic team members in interpreting results and prepare them for design reviews, provide design solutions and recommendations ·Develops and submits proposals for GIG, Productivity, UAY, IMPRINT and Innovation connect ideation sessions.
  • Also works with various stakeholders in maturing these proposals and works until a logical closure is attained. ·Communicates clearly the new technology and strategy with leadership, business and marketing teams ·Lead reviewer for the all the aerodynamics analysis of gas turbine engine turbomachinery components like fan and compressors, combustors and turbines.

    Qualifications : BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering or equivalent Minimum 14 years of experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of gas turbine engine components using CFD tools like Fine Turbo, ANSYS CFX, Fluent, Star CCM etc.

    Recognized by the business and leadership team as the technical expert in the domain. Business acumen - knowledge of current and emerging practices, methods, and information relating to discipline and application within the industry Strong leadership skills (with strong teaming, coordination, communication and negotiation skills) and ability to work with people with different personalities and different cultures
