As our Global Head of Rewards Technology, reporting to our Global Head Reward Services and Digital Rewards based in Hyderabad, you will influence at the highest levels by leading and advising on large-scale global Rewards program technology that enable global and regional Rewards teams, leadership and line managers to make the best Reward decisions for engaging and recognizing the talent across all Novartis employees.

You will lead strategic thinking and innovation for how Rewards technology improves the outcomes and employee experience from their Rewards / Compensation & Benefits.

Evolving all the company’s Rewards technology and taking us to a truly global approach, your thought leadership and mid-long term strategies will have significant impact as a member of the Centre of Excellence leadership team.

You will also provide strong site leadership as part of the Hyderabad Novartis Business Services leadership team.

In close collaboration with People & Organization (HR) Analytics and other Centers of Excellence, your responsibilities will include :

  • Define the data strategy to support Rewards principles and applications
  • Define and drive the Rewards Technology roadmap, understanding which technologies need to be prioritized for the most impact, and increase adoption of intelligent automation to achieve better compliance, quality, speed and user experience
  • Be part of the global Rewards strategy, developing plans within your group that deliver the sense and intent behind the Novartis Rewards approach, considering reputation, shareholder relations and compliance
  • Oversee AI and Reporting experiments and drive their implementation, introducing a ROI mindset in the delivery of our Rewards programs to the organization
  • Design the digital curriculum for the function and build future capability
  • Dedicate significant time in the benefits and equity platform implementations, from planning, architecting, configuring and then prototyping, leading up to UAT and deployment
  • Consult Human Capital Management / HCM Rewards leads and share with Workday Project Management Office / PMO developments in the area of Rewards technology that may impact the implementation
  • Vendor review, bringing insight to see when solutions won’t work and the reality behind a vendor’s presentation; exploring innovative niche vendor solutions rather than defaulting to major vendors
  • Lead the efficient implementation of Rewards processes, programs and initiatives and ensure external competitiveness and internal fairness.
  • Team : 1-2 direct reports, 5-7 indirect, your team will grow

    Minimum requirements

  • University degree-educated in a relevant subject. Further professional education desirable
  • Used to working at a senior level within international or global complex organisations that had an advanced approach to technology solutions for their workforce.
  • Ideally also including experience from Consulting, your in-house experience has been from highly collaborative teams that partnered with business units on strategy, not only implementation.

    Mixed experience from different industries would be ideal

  • Specific Rewards Technology innovation leadership experience is preferred, providing Rewards leadership and strategic thinking across the range of topics outlined in the job description, supported by your advanced expertise in Rewards technology and data strategies.
  • Alternatively, you’re a broader technology innovator with a successful record of creating and delivering technology solutions across different business areas to solve different stakeholder’s complex international challenges, and have a talent to spot the applicability of existing and new solutions across different areas

  • Significant experience of leading and managing professionals, either as their direct manager or from within a collaborative matrix where you had significant input to their professional development.
  • Ideally this includes Rewards / HR professionals

  • Experience working in more than one country is preferred, otherwise evidence of a strong multi-cultural understanding and appreciation of other nationalities, thinking and working styles
