Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.

Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications.

You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products / services / processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.

Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products / services / processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.


This position is for Software Architecture group of Oracle Communications Session Boarder Controller (SBC) product portfolio.

As a Principal Architect, you will be responsible for

  • Collaborating with Product management and Sales / Pre-Sales teams to discuss, review and negotiate new product requirements and define feature content.
  • Studying and analyzing product requirements to determine development effort for the proposed enhancements so as to help in release planning.
  • Designing complex features and guiding development teams.
  • Writing Product requirement and functional / design specifications
  • Reviewing all code and document deliverables.
  • Investigating, fixing, or providing guidance for complex field issues or release blocking issues raised by testing team.
  • Preparing and presenting technical proposals to the leadership teams
  • Implementing performance, stability and maintainability improvements in the product.
  • Required Skills :

  • 15+ years of software product development and / or architecture experience with networking or telecommunications systems, specifically with SBC, SIP / VOIP, IMS, VoLTE technologies.
  • A deep understanding of software development in a team environment
  • Expertise in C / C++ multi-threaded Programming, OOA & Design concepts.
  • Strong Knowledge of SIP / TCP / UDP / IP and networking concepts.
  • Experience with VoIP technologies based on SIP and related protocols (RTP / RTCP, SRTP, MSRP)
  • Experience developing software following Agile and CI / CD processes
  • Strong analytical ability to fix complex field issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
  • Expertise in software build processes and third party software integration
  • Experience in developing scalable, fault tolerant and highly available systems
  • Preferred skills

  • Experience with networking and security protocols such as IPSec, IKE, TLS / DTLS, DNS, SNMP, ICE, ICMP
  • Datapath development experience in a custom hardware platform, or software datapath.
  • Development experience with embedded network processorts Cavium, EZchip
  • Exposure to Virtualization (OpenStack, KVM, VMware, SR-IOV, DPDK, PMD, PF / VF for network drivers)
  • Experience in Cloud Orchestration (Azure / AWS)
