FINANCE SPECIALIST AMERICAN EXPRESS MEETINGS & EVENTS
The Meetings & Events Finance Specialist supports our sales and operations teams with all aspects of financial management, processing incoming and outgoing payments (Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable) and reporting, associated with Meetings and Events in the India market.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Preparing, sending, and tracking invoices and payment for services rendered
Receiving payments into appropriate accounts and processing receipts and revenue allocations
Processing and reporting on all payments received and made for meeting and event activities
Vendor and Supplier profile management in financial systems
Monitoring the overall financial reconciliation process by managing vendor payments, audit reconciliation of meeting spends, invoicing fees, reconciliation and balancing over corporate cards, journal entries in NetSuite, clearing account reconciliations, AP and AR ledgers, client financial reporting, and working closely with clients and business partners to maintain the integrity and timeliness of these reconciliations along with driving improvement initiatives
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and timeliness towards the SLA
Strong emphasis on customer service, communications, interpersonal and organizational skills, as this is a fast paced, results oriented environment that is in daily contact with various groups across the organization
Qualifications :
2-5 years of financial / analytical / business experience required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance / Business preferred
Strong people relationship skills to build effective partnerships
Results driven, strong leadership skills to lead and influence without direct authority and operate independently
Exceptional organizational skills, financial acumen, analytical skills and experience with Travel and / or American Express processes / tools / systems like Oracle, Amadeus, Sabre and Billing software
Knowledge of travel industry & economics a plus
Intermediate-to-Advanced MS Office skills including PowerPoint, Access and Excel (Advanced desired)
