This position will assist in the development, maintenance and monitoring of financial reporting for the Home Lending line of business specifically supporting creation of new reports, changing existing reports and monitoring the delivery.
Additionally, this role will monitor loading of the data warehouse tables. The role requires a strong reporting background with a focus on report creation, analytics, and working across functional areas.
Interaction between Finance, Information Technology, and other groups are required to ensure modifications to existing reports fully meet business requirements.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Monitor report delivery and provide reporting to stakeholders and management team on production reports.
Monitor data warehouse loads, validating completeness communicating to stakeholders and management team.
Collaborating across geographies with multiple stakeholders for sourcing information and delivering as per the requirements
Assist various stakeholders in the process of improving production processes, control processes or any other aspects of the business resources that need improvement.
Obtain & document business requirements by interacting with Accounting and Corporate Reporting stakeholders
Perform testing to ensure new functionality meets end user requirements
Develop business allocation rules to create account level results and automated monthly production checks to ensure data integrity
Ensure reconciliation of existing financial systems, including general ledger and account based applications leveraging SQL
Requires close partnership with senior level business, finance, and IT staff
Requires a strong understanding of the mortgage industry and its key business drivers
Assist with additional MIS responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field
5+ years experience, financial services required
Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Expert Experience with SQL
Financial services experience preferred
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at the same time
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
