SCOPE Working across Travelex worldwide QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Essential Ability to resolve 2nd / 3rd level Network infrastructure support calls Full understanding of concepts in Large Network Infrastructures, Internet and Firewalls Experience of liaising with senior management on high profile issues.
data management Administration level certification such as CCNA, CCSA A Graduate in any stream or higher Desirable Beneficial to have work experience with Financial Service Industry Understanding of Support Operations.
CORE SKILLS Ability to administer, configure, troubleshoot and proactively manage large highly available network infrastructures using equipments like Cisco Routers, Layer 3 Switches and Firewalls Be good at performance monitoring and capacity planning Ability to lead in vendor management on commercial and service issues Focus on improvement at support quality levels Ability to develop sound relationships with service team leaders, other IT functions and customers Ability to update skills and knowledge relating to future trends in Datacoms technology and industry standards Excellent problem solving, planning, Decision making and organizing skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills Ability to take a structured, methodical, disciplined approach to procedures and be in position to improve them if required Ability to produce articulate and convincing proposals for network infrastructure development and for fulfilling business project requirements Ability to lead and motivate other team members.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Principle Accountabilities Measures of Success Ensure that all Network problem calls are resolved within specified SLAs.
Where appropriate liaise with other support areas and 3rd parties to ensure problems are resolved within SLA. When appropriate ensure proper escalation procedures are followed relating to Network issues.
Maintain accurate and up to date Network documentation. Deliver out of hours support (24*7 on rota) Ensure effective capacity planning procedures are in place and fully utilized.
Proactive monitoring and management of the network infrastructure to identify trends and potential problem areas Thorough and effective use of operational procedures Managing external network service suppliers on operational and implementation issues Ensure any enhancement and project work is delivered to the agreed scope and on time and within budget (SLA) Provide guidance on strategic development issues for network infrastructure Able to assist in generating operational MIS and run service improvement programs Comply with departmental policies (i.
e. change control, security standards) Comply with Company policies, audit and legal requirements.
