Promantia is looking for smart and experienced senior Java developers to work as the technical lead in a challenging and technology rich product management engagement in the medical domain .

Job Description of Technical Lead

  • Plan, track and deliver iteration releases according to the deadlines agreed upon
  • Engage with customers on business requirements, technical solution and project status.
  • Technically lead a team on software product development and maintenance
  • Be responsible for analysis, solution definition, work break down and estimates on behalf of the team.
  • Use excellent communication(oral and written) and presentation skills to engage and negotiate with customer teams on technical aspects of solutions
  • Mentor / train less experienced members of team on technical aspects

    • ACCOUNTABILITY AND MEASURES :

    The technical lead would be accountable for the deliveries of the team for a suite of products that are being managed by Promantia.

    Key metrics would be around solutioning, implementation quality , productivity and team development.

    Job performance will be measured through a defined set of objectives and KPAs that are set annually and reviewed on a six monthly basis.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

    Required

  • Degree / Post Graduation in engineering or equivalent.
  • 2-5 Years of relevant experience in designing and developing products / application software.
  • Experience across the software engineering life-cycle including requirements analysis, estimation, testing, packaging, iteration and release planning and tracking
  • Experience in designing / developing products and custom solutions using core Java and allied technologies including web application , web-service and database technologies
  • Fluency in programming and code reading.
  • Strong conceptual knowledge of object oriented design and development.
  • Good mentoring and team leading skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem solving ability.
  • Experience in using modern configuration and CI tools

    • Desirable

  • Experience in designing and developing using OSGi framework.
  • Experience in analyzing and problem solving java based web and application server solutions in production environment
  • Experience in agile engineering practices including iterative development, automated testing , continuous integration.
  • Understanding of web-technologies esp. JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, RequireJS, Bootstrap
  • Experience in outsourced product development
