1.1 Scope of Responsibilities
Operating, controlling, recording of the process parameters and reporting the
status of whole CPF plant to the Superiors.
Interface with client and other agencies for inlet reception operations, export
facilities, chemical injection, gas and produced water injection
Operations and Maintenance of CPF equipment on board.
Responsible for running the plant safely with full production capacity and
agreed quality (OIL, GAS, LPG & CONDENSATE) as per client requirements
Responsible for training the nationalities.
1.2 Primary Duties
Accountable for the management of the control room operations.
Operates and manages process parameters of number of units at the same
time, controlling all process parameters like flow, temperature, pressure etc
through DCS Operating System to achieve safe running of the plant and
maintain uninterrupted production as per defined quantity and quality.
Maintains continuous radio contact with Senior Operators to keep them
informed of operating conditions to request manual adjustments of equipment,
to carry out on-site readings and convey instructions given by Shift Supervisor.
Maintains continuous liaison with other Panel Operators to coordinate the
required supplies according to production conditions.
Alters operating conditions or product flows to allow prior isolation of
equipment for maintenance and re-commences operations according to
procedures, following completion of maintenance. Keeps himself aware of
ongoing maintenance work by reviewing permit to work records / logs.
Communicates with the Panel Operator of other areas to coordinate operations
that may affect the operation and / or production of any unit within the Plant.
Includes informing each other of changes and synchronizing activities to
minimize loss of production.
Determines developing trends in operating conditions, reporting significant
changes and initiating action as required.
Is focal communications point between Shift Supervisor / Managers and outside
operators during emergency situations
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality
policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities
related to his job as spelled out in Management Systems Manual, Safety Manual
Carries out similar or related duties such as assisting in maintaining shift log;
initiating emergency procedures as required and complying with safety rules
Ensuring the security of company assets by operating in a safe and efficient
Compliance with the Safety Management System and the Emergency response
plan of the company.
Monitoring, control and reaction to the process control, emergency shutdown
and Fire and Gas System
Applies process isolation under the direction of Area Authority and as per the
Communicating observed operational problems to the appropriate supervisor
Initiating unit, train and emergency shutdown of process and utility system
during abnormal operation, or as a result of an emergency situation on the

Monitoring and recording of key parameters for hydrocarbon process plant and

Maintaining communications with local staff in Control Room as well as in the

Collect and compile all relevant data related to operational parameters and

Communicate with client for the routine maintenance of the instruments and
Carry out preventative and planned maintenance on the Yokogawa system(ICSS)as per requirements.
Report to Supervisor on status of daily activities and work progress and control
and plan the field activities accordingly
Execute operations activities in accordance with stipulated production
programme / plan by the client.
Troubleshoot the production abnormalities arising on day today basis.
Interface with other service department staff to coordinate breakdown or
routine maintenance work.
Ability to resolve the technical issues with the maintenance crew and coordinate
with the same for the smooth running of the plant
Take leading role to control emergencies and contain hazards within area of
responsibility as per the approved emergency procedures and Emergency
Response plans.Good knowledge of Permit to Work system

Able to maintain a clear and crisp shift log book

The job holds the key responsibility to ensure that all monitoring activities as have
been specified by supervisor on a daily basis are completed to ensure smooth running
of the plant

Day to day operations and control decisions in-line with the Responsibility

Have a good HSE knowledge and able to recognize unsafe working practices or
conditions and take steps to rectify them.
