Overview

The Learning Experience Designer II Technical Services is an enthusiastic learning professional who is focused on creating blended technical learning experiences and running technical learning operations for the Tech Services organization at Walmart Global Tech India.

She / he will work on Services- and Support-specific Technical Enablement programs at Walmart specifically focusing on self-paced learning paths, orchestrating virtual instructor-led for application support engineering, site reliability operations, and DevOps.

She / he will also draft communications including newsletters, custom LMS notifications, and survey questions to create awareness of and evaluate the effectiveness of supported training programs.

She / he will also create reports for level 1 feedback and attendance and level 2 knowledge evaluation using intermediate Excel functions and the available learning management systems.

As such, basic technical acumen, strong organizational and oral / written communication skills are critical for success in this role.

Strong skills in working with learning management systems, learning experience platforms, and creative design tools would be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curate and create learning content mapped to high-level learning objectives
  • Manage courses, rosters, and schedules in the learning management system
  • Create a roadmap for virtual instructor-led and curated eLearning courses to be offered to IDC associates across various roles
  • Engage with business / tech leads and the TTX IDC lead to identify, prioritize, and resource the technical learning projects and budget for custom courses
  • Create and administer surveys for evaluating the effectiveness of technical learning interventions
  • Manage vendor relationships across various projects including activities such as creating PRs / POs, coordinating trainer and class schedules, and reconciling invoices
  • Create newsletters, infographics, and other communication assets to create awareness of technical learning offerings
  • Respond to learner queries using the mailbox and communication channels such as MS Teams, Workplace, and Slack
  • Gather, compile, and track data from various sources
  • Apply basic Excel formulas / functions for data filtering and visualization
  • Use data to provide insights, recommendations, and improvements
  • Qualifications and Characteristics

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an operations-centric role for learning or other relevant learning functions
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in HR, business management, English, or mass communication
  • Basic understanding of agile and change management methods and behaviors
  • Basic understanding of project management tools and methods
  • Additional qualifications / credentials in instructional design, adult learning, or project management would be preferred
  • Must-have candidate traits include customer empathy, technical acumen, influencing without authority, active listening, working under ambiguity, conflict management, and working in distributed teams
