We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer / Sr.Software Engineer

Principal responsibilities

  • Ability to understand the Business Requirements and translate the same to the configurations within the Provenir studio.
  • Need to be strong in Java / Spring / Unix / Webservices to be able to independently work on the requirement.

  • Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, have a consistent track record of delivery and excellent software engineering skills.
  • Creative engineering balanced with high quality and a customer focus

  • Provide Technical Support for Provenir Applications on the ROTA basis working closely with HSBC Infrastructure teams globally to manage and ensure all the application are stable and running in good status
  • Ensuring legacy and new implementations follow best practise design standards in line with business requirements
  • Monitor service availability of Provenir applications, undertake relevant incident management as well as work towards continual improvement to existing services
  • Involved in Incident Management and Problem Management, to report on service availability, record and log incidents in a timely manner, as well as to communicate to IT and user community.
  • Involved in Change Management, to govern and review any changes before introducing to Production Environment, work closely with development team to under the change.
  • Basic knowledge of Front End technologies - Basic Javascript / React / Angular etc.
  • Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills; excellent team player with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline
  • Solid and proficient skills in Java, Spring Framework, Web Service, YAML
  • Strong foundation in Restful design practices
  • Experience in working with API management platform
  • Experience in modelling data in JSON.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Microservice, Restful API, Agile concepts
  • Knowledge of DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Git, Splunk, Jira / Confluence, AppD
  • Track record in working on the delivery of complex deployment projects and under diversified / matrix structure
  • Strong communication, presentation & influencing skills, able to operate well across cultures and in multi-cultural, diverse work environments
  • Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills
  • Excellent team player with ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Able to work at flexible hour for late evening meeting with colleagues in various regions, API deployment & production support
  • Willing to learn / explore various technologies especially in Integration domain
