As Solutions Engineer you will be responsible for the technical oversight, planning, and scoping of solutions delivery. You will work with program managers, service providers, customers, and senior leadership to ensure the solution is delivered as scoped.
You are a strong team player and have a reputation for integrity, accountability and ownership.
What you'll do and how you'll make an impact
Reviewing the technical aspects of a project or deployment prior to customer delivery
Work with service providers to set up back-end accessibility to portals, tools and services
Perform pre-configuration of technical solutions for handoff to service providers
Review statements of work and suggest improvements based on scoping calls
Understand customer workflows and requirements to ensure the solution being delivered is correct.
Perform operational risk management tasks to anticipate blockers or pitfalls that would need to be handled with the customer or service provider prior to project delivery
Ability to obtain and stay current with provider certifications as well as become a SME with our vast catalog of solutions
Act as Tier 3 escalation point to service providers and support teams for our catalog of solutions
Provide documentation and technical training for our support team and customers
Provide ad-hoc SaaS / IaaS, Office 365, Google Workspace, Cyber Security consulting services to customers
What you’ll need / Assets
Advanced Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
Five or more (5+) years of proficient administration experience in the Information Technology field with specific emphasis on Windows Server and related technologies
Experience supporting cloud or SaaS environments
Obtain Microsoft Partner competency required certifications within 90 days of hire date (MCSE : Productivity)
Pass other required certifications within 90 days of hire date (G Suite, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
Expert knowledge of Office 365 and G Suite
Advanced level knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
Advanced level knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
Advanced level knowledge of DNS
Proficient in datacenter technologies - servers, storage, networking - particularly as they apply to public and hybrid cloud environments
Excellent communication skills to be able to discuss highly technical issues with service providers and provide layman explanations to customers where necessary
Ability to multitask multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining good status documentation
Ability to solve complex technical implementations both independently and in a team environment.
Stellar interpersonal, communication and planning skills along with critical thinking and good decision making abilities.
Experience working in well-established tech companies.
