Position Purpose & Summary

As a software developer you willbe responsible for working across Cargill to modernize current applications utilizingthe Cargill Cloud Platform and Cloud Native development principles.

PrincipalAccountabilities

70% Software Development &Architecture

  • Design,develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software and new user-facingfeatures in Cargill products
  • Writeclient and server-side code for web-based applications, create fast,easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and develop prototypesquickly
  • Buildthe libraries and frameworks that support large, complex web applications
  • Participate in pair programming, value streammapping, backlog grooming, sprint planning, team retros and demos
  • 30% BusinessAnalysis, Partnering, Coaching & Change Agent

  • Regularlyinterface with architects, analysts, process designers, business SMEs, andusers to understand and evaluate business requirements
  • Coach applicationteams on Cloud Native and Product based application delivery andsupport
  • Teach applicationteams about Cloud Native software development, and modern applicationarchitectures
  • Demonstrateyour work to the broader Cargill community through Public Demos and in smallgroup or individual coaching sessions
  • Qualifications

    Education, Experience, Skills

    Minimum RequiredQualifications

  • Three (3) yearsof relevant work experience
  • Basic fluency inEnglish language
  • Ability toquickly adapt to new technologies and languages
  • Experience indevops technology, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, CICD, REACT, spring boot, Github,Kubernates, IaC, Wireframe with AWS knowledge
  • Experience withmodern open source languages and frameworks
  • Experience withcontinuous integration and deployment technologies
  • Experience with cloud native statelessdeployments (e.g., serverless and container solutions
  • Experience with cloud-based'infrastructure as a service platforms'
  • Experience withmeasurement and telemetry for application, logging, APM, and UX
  • Experience withthe Agile mindset
  • Experienceworking across multiple teams, time zones and cultures
  • Abilityto travel up to 10%
  • PreferredQualifications

  • BA / BS in ComputerScience, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience withmodern API development
  • Developmentexperience with Unix / Linux
  • Demonstratedability to share knowledge via formal mentoring, reviewing code, reviewingdesign documents, providing technical talks, teaching
