Objective of the role
As a QC Chemist to support the Quality Control Department. Involve in QC activities that include testing of Raw Material, Packing Material, Epoxy, Cementitious, and Admixture FGs and approving conforming products for packing and despatch, and providing supporting documents pertaining to Quality of the Products.
Troubleshooting in case of non-conforming products. Provide cross-functional support as and when required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Testing of all Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Intermediate, Finished products and traded items in accordance with the product protocols / specifications.
Responsible for compiling MSDS and TDS of all raw materials.
Ensure adherence to QMS and BIS and 100% updating of records as and when required
Generation of Test Certificates for Finished Products.
Maintaining records pertaining to testing of materials.
Random FG testing at shop floor of powder product and RM / PM.
Escalate issues pertaining to Quality to QC Manager and take steps as and when required
Extend support to cross-functional departments like Purchase / Marketing / Sales as and when required on the directions of the reporting Manager
Visit sites on request and necessary approvals as directed by the reporting Manager in case of requirement to attend complaints.
Should be able to work in and as a team striving to create a congenial work environment, learning and teaching wherever there is an opportunity.
Should be able to work in shifts
Maintain high degree of safety standards at laboratory by self and motivate the contract personnel in following the same.
Follow Good laboratory practices at all the times while working in the lab
Ensure good house-keeping in laboratory at all the times by assigning and utilizing contract manpower efficiently and effectively
Managing and maintaining the records pertaining to counter samples with the support of contract personnel
Calibration of Lab Equipments and adherence of the calibration frequency
Assigning responsibilities for shift operators and contract personnel
Desired Candidate Profile
BSc in Chemistry with 3 years of experience in chemical Manufacturing Environment (CC or Paint Industry)
Awareness of ISO, BIS management Systems
Knowledge in MS Office
Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience : 3 - 6 years in chemical Manufacturing Environment( Required )
