Role Purpose

The Architecture and Technology Group (ATG) at Arm is responsible for developing technologies and products for Arm’s future architecture roadmap.

The Architecture Verification product group at Arm develops Architecture Compliance Kits that are deployed by multiple internal and external development teams to prove that Arm architecture implementations are compliant to the Arm architecture rules.

The successful candidate will be one of the founding members of the modelling and tools team and be responsible for evaluating modelling technologies, building models for CPU architecture feature evaluation, and carry out architecture investigations.

As a member of the ATG team, you will be responsible for working closely with senior architects across geographical locations to develop functional and performance models and conduct performance studies to define next-generation architecture features.

Working in a tight loop in an evolving research-oriented environment is a challenge which will stretch and extend your knowledge and abilities.

You will have a substantial impact in shaping future Arm CPU and system architecture.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience

  • Good University degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science or Electronics Engineering. Other candidates will be considered if they have relevant experience.
  • 4-6 Years of engineering experience primarily focusing on embedded software development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to take up additional responsibilities to contribute to the team’s success.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Desirable Experience

  • Good understanding of modern computer architecture. Familiarity with ARM (or x86) architecture or micro-architecture is a plus.
  • Good understanding of different verification or software environments and toolchains (specifically GNU toolchains)
  • Expertise in at least one programming language (C or C++), scripting language (basics of Python).
  • Familiar with Quality assurance (QA) best practices such as Software Development Life Cycle, unit testing and measurable execution thereof.
