Key Accountabilities

The Resource Planner works in the Global Resourcing Team (GRT) working across all of PC, operating globally in both the geographic and organizational senses, under minimal guidance from the Manager, Global Resourcing Team.

The Resource Planner is responsible for the assignment of FTE resources as well as the maintenance of the ProjectView System.

The Resource Planner is also accountable for the generation of the monthly utilization forecasts. They may be asked to perform additional tasks as requested.

Key Responsibilities

PC Global Resourcing Process

Collaborates with regional Line Management to assign resources (scoping and projects) based on staff competencies, skills and expertise

Consults on an as needed basis with the Manager, Global Resourcing Team to resolve conflicts in scheduling requirements

Collaborates with the Alliance Network to ensure that all projects are staffed with the appropriate resources in a timely manner

Facilitates communication with P&L and regional line management and consultancy staff to assure effective two-way information flow on resourcing matters

  • Prepares, under minimal oversight, required utilization and revenue forecasts and reports. Additional reporting and systems usage may be required.
  • Resource Planner may take on additional duties within the wider GRT as directed
  • ProjectView Database Operational Administration

    Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ProjectView, representing the GRT team on all tactical matters related to the system

    Re-enforces existing training and provide support on the use of ProjectView to all relevant PC employees (GRT team, Project Leads, Regional Line Management)

    Maintains assignment of Projects within the ProjectView database for a defined region, may require global coverage as needed

    Monitors that all requests within the system are addressed within a designated amount of time

    PAREXEL-Related Responsibilities

    Meets established metrics as specified in scorecard on an annual basis

    Demonstrates ability to interact professionally at multiple levels including senior management within the PC organizations

    Completes basic job related responsibilities, including timesheets, expense reports, participation in internal initiatives / projects or as a mentor as requested by management

    Defines self development activities in order to keep current within the industry (i.e. internal PAREXEL SBU overviews, PC Services Training, etc.)

    Develops and maintains PC relationships

    Support PC training activities related to the resourcing and forecasting processes for all new hires, as well as on-going refresher training

    Minimum of a Associate’s Degree

    Several years of experience in the life sciences industry, the consulting industry and / or talent acquisition.
