Sound knowledge of India Financial & Securities Market and its operating principals and rules
The job entails managing strong working relationship with external partners, including regulators. Participate and drive market advocacy to ensure better client experience, manage risk & bring efficiency.
Evaluate effectiveness of workflows and processes with the aim of improving efficiencies as well as the timeliness and accuracy of the production process.
Comply with audit and compliance regulations and be the focal point for audit and client visits.
Critical in providing input, development and management of projects in the team on system enhancements, end to end process reviews
Ensure operational risks are identified and managed effectively, ensure systems and processes are in place to minimize and monitor and manage all aspects of operating risk and compliance in the custody operations functions
Develop succession planning for team members and build knowledge depth within team through cross training and coaching. Provide development opportunities to achieve career development needs.
Master’s Degree Preferred MBA, CA or equivalent
10 -12 years management experience in an Operations role
Strong people management skills and develop / guide staff in a team orientated environment
Strong Risk and Control Awareness : Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines
Excellent customer service skills and able to handle difficult situations internally and externally
Capable of working under pressure and to cope with changing volumes, whilst maintaining accuracy and quality.
