The Manager, Development is the person responsible for the project delivery while development Manager keeps the development team on track and provides day to day technical management and process guidance on development activities.
Build and manage the customer facing development and quality assurance team in the following way :
Forecast resource requirements following a standard process monthly.
Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure the necessary staff are selected, on-boarded, trained, and retained.
Serve as a mentor and coach to development and quality assurance professionals.
Establish a standardized and objective process to validate the strength and performance of each individual on the team
Establish, implement, and strive for processes of continuous improvement.
Establish and execute structured on-boarding and development programs for new hires, achieving increased engagement and higher productivity targets.
Proactively seek to understand resource issues and deliver appropriate solutions Skills / Requirements Requirements
Demonstrated ability to build effective teams and to motivate, direct and coach staff; ability to manage multi-site teams.
3-5 years of experience managing customer facing software development teams.
Minimum of 5 years of software product development experience, and hands on technical work with full life cycle implementations.
The following critical skills would be an asset :
Experience in Architecting Solutions
Strong experience in multi-tier enterprise product development
Knowledge and experience on ASP. net, C#
Understanding of common third party add-on solutions and their integration with enterprise software
Web Development / Hosted solutions
Comfortable guiding teams in an Agile environment
Adaptable to changing business requirements and priorities.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to understand technical possibilities and limitations.
Aptitude for learning and professional development.
Enthusiastic team player.,
