What you will do
Responsible for Managing Unix Servers hosted in on-premise DC and cloud which includes more than 1000 Redhat Linux, AIX and Solaris Servers.
Responsible to manage, mentor and provide technical guidance to Vendor’s operation team to ensure operational excellence.
Strong people management skills. Lead the internal Stryker team of 4-10 engineers.
Responsible for protecting and maintaining stable Unix Infrastructure Environment includes Security Management, Audit Management, Change Management and participating in Disaster Recovery activities.
Take lead on Service Improvement Initiative to maintain stable 24x7 operations.
Responsible for providing support in various Internal and External audits.
Analyze technical and resource requirements from various projects related to Unix.
Responsible for Patch and Vulnerabilities Management along with Global Security team.
Responsible for ensuring all Unix servers are monitored 24x7.
Collaborate with SAP Basis, Oracle DBA and other teams to ensure smooth operations of Global ERP landscape.
Responsible for Stakeholder management across various Infrastructure and Application teams.
Can work independently and is self-motivated.
Ensure proactive problem management best practice is followed in team.
At least 7-10 years of experience in managing and supporting mission critical Unix servers running SAP / ERP etc.
At least 3+ years of experience in handling internal and vendor team as lead.
Technical Knowledge and very good hand-on experience on Unix operating systems like Red hat Linux, AIX etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to interact and work with global team in matrix environment.
Good knowledge on SAP Infrastructure setup for Linux Servers and would have managed HA / Cluster environment.
Experience Managing Unix implementation and migration projects.
Experience in managing Servers in Azure and other public Clouds. Should have good knowledge on automation.
ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable.
Experience working with Global teams and Vendor Management.
