Job Title : Tapeout Logistics and Integration Manager
GLOBALFOUNDRIES is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Tapeout and Logistics (TLI) Manager to lead a growing Engineering Team in the Global Tapeout organization.
The successful candidate will lead with 100% quality and minimal cycle time in mind. This role requires a close working relationship and collaboration with internal teams (Frame, Product Management, Release, Manufacturing, Field Application Engineers, Application Engineers, CE, etc.
Management responsibilities will include continuing to grow and strengthen the India TLI Team, with a focus on rapidly learning and supporting all existing pre-tapeout and logistics processes, as well as driving continuous improvement, cost reduction, and process evolution.
The TLI Manager will be responsible for employee training plans, continuous development, managing time off, providing performance feedback, and for helping to quickly grow skill sets and India presence to further strengthen overall worldwide TLI mission.
In addition, the TLI Manager will track and report on key department and organization metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The role will be accountable for Team performance, Tape-out readiness and logistics metrics, continuous improvement plans, managing costs, and overall Customer Satisfaction.
This TLI leadership position must be able to manage complex projects, problems, and situations, and must have exceptional Customer Facing skills.
Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced and quickly evolving team environment. The ideal candidate must exhibit strength in engineering fundamentals, such as semiconductor devices, and have strong problem solving, teamwork, project Management, and exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
Job will require some weekend rotations and some travel may be required.Essential Responsibilities :
Manage a group of Customer Facing Engineers to ensure premier Pre-Tapeout Readiness, Logistics Execution, and Facilitation of clean tapeout to mask RTM process.
Be an effective coach to the department / team, and work to ensure morale and employee retention rates remain high.
Ensure smooth operation of TLI mission through the establishment of robust training and execution processes, clear operating procedures and quality systems.
Collect and Present Department Metrics and KPIs on a monthly basis, and develop action plans to address deviations from targets.
Engage with Customers directly (as needed) to help resolve escalated concerns
Collaborate with World wide TLI Leadership Teams to development and Implement work improvement methods or methodologies to improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve cycle times.
Collaborate with Global Tapeout Operations (GTO) and other functional groups on continuous improvement and evolution initiatives.
Work in a dynamic collaborative environment which requires strong teaming skills with Customers, Engineers, Technicians, Managers, and IT
Solve complex technical problems and contribute to multiple projects at the same time
Strong ability to learn and explore new technologies, opportunities, and continuous improvement
Demonstrate strong analysis and problem solving skills
Work with urgency on both tactical and strategic problems.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications :
or PhD degree plus 4 years of experience in Tapeout Operations or similar field
Language Fluency Fluent in English Language written & verbal .
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum 10 years of semiconductor process or product engineering experience
2-3 years of people management experience
Project Management Certification.
Lean Six Sigma Certification
