The Global Transaction Banking Cash and Messaging and Regulatory Filtering Ops Embedded Risk Team is responsible for supporting Operations with first line operational risk management across GTB Operations.
Current activities include Month End Risk Reporting, Incident Management lifecycle, ORM role for Self-Identified Issues and performing the closure validation for all Significant' rated findings.
The role will require the development of close functional working relationship with colleagues in all Deutsche Bank locations, to ensure consistency and appropriate control coverage globally (follow the sun model).
This is a high visibility role requiring a proactive approach to coordinating appropriate control activities, being a key point of contact for all control issues impacting the product lines.
The candidate should be comfortable with strategic change, be flexible and able to prioritise working independently when required to do so.
The Cash and Messaging ERT team performs a critical function and the joining the team will provide an opportunity to develop analytical, project management and governance skills and build relationships across Ops, Tech, the GTB business and 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence functions. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
Validate the closure submission of all F3 (Significant) audit and self-identified findings form a design & operating effectiveness perspective.
Review supporting documentation against the finding in GFMS and provide the Issue owner with the approval / rejection for closure.
Perform month end reporting activities, which include : Assessment of Environmental Risk Indicators, approval of month end data in dbScore, partnering with the ERT Reporting team to produce the Control Pack and Chairing the Monthly Risk review with operations -
producing minutes & actions.
Support Operations with the periodic review of Key Risk Indicator Thresholds (dbScore) , ensuring the correct calibration of risk is achieved.
Approve all Operational Incidents raised in Service Now, ensure adherence to the Incident Reporting Protocol and work with the Incident Owner to approve the Problem' in Service now, validating the management action plans and approvals in Service Now.
Understand the impact of errors, timely escalation, remediation and lessons learnt to facilitate reduction of operational losses or near misses in dbIRS.
Act as the ORM for Self-Identified Findings, working with the issue owners to validate the Risk Statement', Management Action' and proposed closure timelines.
Support Finding Owners with the Risk Deferral Process' for F2 (Important) rated issues.
Instil a control mind set across the organisation, ensuring that control focus is prominent.
Follow a disciplined approach to ensure that the new Control remit is followed and implemented by both Control and Operations teams.
Create, assess and challenge relevant control indicators. Undertake intrusive analysis and, where required, drive through solutions.
Proactively question and challenge Operations to identify areas of potential weakness.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Operations teams and its management to build an effective partnership to reduce operational risks across the organisation. Requirements :
Demonstrable adherence to the Bank's Values and Beliefs

Operations and / or Audit experience preferred
