Job Overview

Information Security Analyst : Develops and executes security controls, defenses and countermeasures to intercept and prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems.

Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Maintains hardware, software and network firewalls and encryption protocols.

Administers security policies to control physical and virtual access to systems. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.

Job Code Tip : May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.

May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions. Individuals whose primary focus is on developing, testing, debugging and deploying code or processing routines that support security protocols for an established system or systems should be matched to the appropriate Programmer or Programmer / Analyst family in the Information Technology / MIS functional area

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Lead efforts to define processes and procedures that support secure design, development, and support of products.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols to help ensure the security of our products as they are designed, developed, supported, and used.
  • Ensure that defined processes address effective and efficient integration of cyber security engineering with engineering design and Quality control functions.

  • Identify and define system security requirements. Analyze, report on and assist in management of security-related risks, including reporting on outcomes and proposing further security improvements.
  • Lead efforts to respond to customer or sales inquiries related to cyber security capabilities associated with our products.
  • Work to develop standard collateral that describes the cyber security capabilities and optimum implementation guidelines to ensure products are secure.

  • Coordinate technical reviews, and / or requests for technical assessments.
  • Coordinate customer communications with legal, marketing, service, and sales related to cyber security announcements.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols to help ensure the security of our products as they are designed, developed, supported, and used.
  • Identify and define system security requirements. Analyze, report on and assist in management of security-related risks, including reporting on outcomes and proposing further security improvements.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret security findings to identify inter-related findings, as well as develop clear and complete documentation on the root cause of issues.
  • Experience working with healthcare organizations is a plus.

  • Familiarity with government standards such as NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, HIPAA, is desirable
  • Attained or working towards IT Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNA, Comptia Security ++
  • Experience :

  • 5-8 years of work experience in business analysis and / or technical sales support with a focus in cyber security.
  • Able to reliably complete assignments with limited supervision, and to help lead the actions of others to accomplish complex work assignments under tight time constraints.
  • Has a demonstrated attention to detail and is able to coordinate the completion of multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Experience writing clear public communications about technical subjects
  • Experience working with engineering staff to gather technical information that must be constructed into documentation to be used by non-technical staff.
  • Experience developing user documentation for technical IT systems or products.
  • Experience performing as a technical editor for engineering and technical staff, including experience gathering and reconciling inputs from multiple sources.
  • Experience with cyber security and capability to clearly communicate information security concepts and risks
  • Experience writing technical proposals related to Information Technology. Experience writing or gathering information to capture the proposed approach in suitable detail
  • Experience performing and leading business analysis efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to performing under pressure when working to tight deadlines
  • Able to calmly coordinate activities when working under short turnaround times
  • Experience performing Project Management responsibilities to plan and track execution of assigned workload
  • Knowledge of operating system and network security concepts is required.
  • Working knowledge on Windows, Linux
  • Actively investigate the latest in security vulnerabilities, advisories, incidents, and penetration techniques and notify customers when appropriate.
  • Should have good knowledge on TCP / IP network traffic and event log analysis
  • Coordinate with Customer’s internal teams for relevant security incident investigations.

  • Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • OSI Systems, Inc. has three operating divisions : (a) Security, providing security and inspection systems, turnkey security screening solutions and related services;
  • b) Healthcare, providing patient monitoring, diagnostic cardiology and anesthesia systems; and (c) Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, providing specialized electronic components and electronic manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers with applications in the defense, aerospace, medical and industrial markets, among others.
