He / She will be part of operational team and provide proactive support as a single point of contact for the underlying virtual infrastructure, utilizing correlated data sources with predictive analytics to ensure maximum operational uptime and adherence to SLOs and SLAs.
Support role working with the Windows server OS 2008 / 2012 / 2016
Should be able to manage Windows and VMware environment individually.
Good understanding of and experience in troubleshooting of hardware and clusters
Developing scripts to gain efficiencies for reporting and automating repetitive tasks.
Maintaining and restoring virtual machine "backups" and snapshots.
Perform upgrades and applying patches or firmware updates to the virtual infrastructure software or hardware
Provides support utilizing monitoring tools and diagnostic methods.
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
Coordinate with vendors (IBM, HP, Microsoft ) to resolve vendor specific issues.
Support all environments (Production / Contingency / Dev)
Coordinate with Application teams to provide fix / support for windows servers.
Participate and responding to support calls both during and after business hours / weekends / holidays / shutdowns.
Operational Process & Routines : Strong adherence to operating controls, risk management, process review and creation, documentation and collaborative knowledge sharing
Responsible for event, incident, request, change and currency execution providing stability and security of the virtual core service
Education : Any Graduation or Master’s Degree
Certifications : Microsoft Windows Servers & VMware Certified
Experience : 5 to 8 Years
5+ years of system administration experience
Wintel Operations - Operations Systems Administrator
Experience with high availability such as Microsoft cluster and network load balancing
Strong communication, collaboration and coordination skills
Ability to work in a high pressured, large scale, business critical environment.
Strong analytical skills for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
Key member of the Hosting Services Operational Support team providing 24x7 global operational support.
Strong understanding of Operational Controls and Risk governance aligned to ITIL framework.
Work Timings : 6 : 30AM to 7 : 30 PM IST (Any 9 hours) / 13X7 support including Weekends.
