The People Analytics team supports BMC’s People and Spaces SVP & VP. P&S is made up of Human Resources, Staffing, Facilities and Real Estate, Corporate Security, and Community Relations.

The team is accountable for business strategy and analysis across these functions.

In this role, you will construct analyses that support decision-making at the corporate level. Day-to-day responsibilities will include structuring, analyzing and synthesizing data to report on key operational or people metrics (e.

g., attrition and hiring) and drive progress at BMC.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong modeling experience in Excel; experience analyzing large data sets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analyses and tie to actionable business insights
  • Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with partners in IT, HRIS, Finance and Sales Operations
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Python / R) and / or BI software (e.g., Tableau, MS Power BI) a plus
  • Experience working with technology or sales organizations a plus
  • Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Work cross-functionally with leadership, program managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand and achieve business priorities
  • Extract business requirements and develop measurement plans for strategic programs
  • Understand business problems and take time to understand the detail to ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Collect and analyze data through various sources, work to automate collection methods
  • Interpret data, analyze results using analytics techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Advance our current databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, reporting findings to VP P&S
  • Use your technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining, data cleansing, data extraction, and segmentation techniques
  • Convey data into easily-digestible and highly-visual dashboard applications and executive-level report deliverables
  • Collaborate with other analysts, providing exceptional customer service
  • Working with large data sets, translate abstract data into highly-visual and easily-digestible formats
  • Required Skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to interpret large amounts of data and handle multiple priorities at the same time
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, modelling, and mining
  • Practical experience handling data
  • Solid knowledge of and experience with reporting packages like(e.g., Python / R) and / or BI software (e.g., Tableau, MS Power BI) a plus
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid knowledge of extract, transform, and load (ETL) concepts
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven record of translating business objectives and requirements into prioritized, action-oriented deliverables with measurable success criteria
  • Passionate about data-driven decision making and ability to perform analysis on large datasets
  • Advanced spreadsheet data manipulation skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and effectively interact with partners and stakeholders at all levels and across global regions
  • Ability to self-direct and self-motivate with minimal direction
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
