Responsibilities
The Principal / Sr. Staff Analog Design Engineer / Design Manager will lead the design of sophisticated Power Management IC products which address a wide range of server, notebook, PC and industrial applications.
We are looking for a person who possesses a mix of technical expertise in Analog IC design , passion to build new products and strong communication skills.
For the Design Manager role, the person should have experience of leading analog IC design team for complete project cycle.
Experience of Power Management IC design / knowledge of Power converters architecture is an advantage but not must requirement for this role.
Qualifications
The engineer will participate in all stages of product feasibility, development and productization. Primary responsibilities include
Development of Power Management Products with emphasis on switching converters Buck, Boost
Participate with system and marketing teams on IC definition, technical feasibility and competitive analysis
Responsible to architecture analysis for control loops best suited for the product requirements, translating these to specifications of circuit blocks and mentoring junior team members to implement circuits
Responsible for analog design and layout supervision through all stages of IC development including design closure
Work with layout engineers on IC floorplan and integration of analog, ESD and digital
Conduct IC design reviews, layout reviews and provide regular design updates through documentation and presentations
Understand and implement design and layout methodologies which will meet company and industry standards for product reliability and yield
Work on post-silicon debug and system characterization
Assist test, operations and application teams during productization
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable
Knowledge of Power converter architectures Buck, Boost etc
Thorough knowledge of Analog design- OpAmp, Comparators, Bandgap References, Oscillators etc
Understanding of process technologies and device behavior which are important for high voltage, high power operation and reliability issues
Experience in leading a project team of 4-5 members
8-10 years of experience for Sr. Staff / 12-15 Years of experience for Principal Engineer
