THE ROLE :
You manage and drive a team that designs and codes unit, functional and system level test applications for a complex eco-system that is used as a platform for developing Machine Learning and High Performance Computing applications.
You work in a stimulating environment that gives you an opportunity to constantly stretch your ability to create solutions to continually improve the quality of the stack.
You also have the challenge to keep the test suites automated all the time in order to keep the production environment efficient.
You work on new AMD products and bring new test content to test and support them in the production SW branches.
You work with global teams extensively including program management, engineering, and software and hardware infrastructure teams as stakeholders and to reap the benefits of collaboration for your team.
You involve in engineering evaluations and analysis from test perspective on engineering enhancement or improvement projects.
You lead your team to identify the solutions for test related issues.
You provide first level management for your direct reports, including goal setting, coaching, performance appraisals, and compensation recommendations.
You foster an environment for success within your team and coordinate the work of your team on development projects. You provide direct supervision to professional individual contributors and / or skilled support individual contributors.
You act as an advisor to a unit or sub-units and may become actively involved as required to meet schedules and resolve problems.
You assign projects to team and monitor progress and ensure the team’s workload is properly balanced. You hold regular one-on-one meetings with team members.
You look for opportunities to grow and develop the team by aligning their skills and interests with project opportunities.
You participate in regular program reviews and management reviews. Recognize process inefficiencies and drive change to improve processes.
You are the escalation point for technical issues raised by the team.

You should have the necessary experience and interest in people managing to both satisfy the individual interest and at the same time place the right skills in the right place.
You should be able to technically challenge your team to make them deliver to the growing demands of quality from the customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Your primary responsibility is to technically lead a team that creates rich test content for AMD’s ROCm eco-system so deliver to the demanding datacenter and enterprise customer needs.
In the first 3 months you will understand the team, the processes in the organization and AMD’s ROCm stack functionally.
By the end of 6 months, you should be completely thorough with the existing test content and should have plans in place for the next 6 months on how to build on it.
