Your team responsibilities

MSCI is seeking an Executive Director to drive our efforts on transforming our Client Intelligence and Analytics globally.

This individual will be supporting the Head of Global

Client Coverage Finance in ensuring management by metrics as

well as driving a performance culture across our global teams by identifying key trends on sales and servicing by using a data driven approach to ensure scalability.

In addition, the individual will own and deliver across multiple projects that require close

partnership with cross functional teams globally.

The appropriate individual will need to demonstrate a strong acumen in financial management, financial processes, and business analytics.

This is an exciting opportunity for an

experienced financial manager to play an integral role in enhancing the company’s operating decisions and to become a key member of the finance organization.

Given the global nature of this role, the individual is expected to work with stakeholders across

the globe in different time zones. The position will be based out of our Mumbai office supported by 4-5 individuals and reporting directly into the New York based Global Head for Coverage Finance.

    Your key responsibilities

  • Report and ownership of numbers of global operating metrics including sales, cancels and run rate
  • Develop and ensure timely delivery of key productivity metrics across Servicing and Sales including understanding and effectively communicating lifetime value of clients and the cost
  • of acquisition

  • Drive effective Coverage Incentive Planning by partnering closely with HR / Accounting / FPA
  • Provide Global client coverage with support across deal origination and closure on bespoke terms and conditions to ensure alignment with the firms interests
  • Provide leadership and manage effective delivery of key global projects including automation of dashboards, deployment of new tools involving close partnership with business and finance
  • technology teams

  • Support preparation and development of key executive presentations (Board of Directors, Management and Executive Committee).
  • Manage & support financial planning processes, including annual operating plan, forecasting and long-term strategic plan Implement and lead regular financial review meetings, and establish framework to report on and focus discussions on key metrics.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for the business and provide financial analysis to senior leadership on key business trends and market environment.
  • Analyze business performance (year-over-year, sequentially, vs. forecast) in various formats to facilitate internal financial discussions or decisions to drive business results.
  • Manage process improvement projects to reduce process cycle times, improve financial forecast quality, and enhance information provided to leadership for business decisions.

  • Experience in developing financial forecasts and driving financial execution.
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities : ability to interpret financial reports and data to understand business performance and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication / presentation skills : comfortable interacting and communicating with executive and senior management levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills : demonstrated ability to develop strong, cross-functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, integrative thinking
