The principal responsibilities essentially include :
Prepare and co-ordinate detailed designs of superstructure as well as substructure for RCC and Steel Industrial buildings, PEB structures, canopies etc.
Understand and Interpret Geo technical Investigation Report for design of foundation system.
Design of foundations especially different types of pile foundations (bored cast in-situ, rammed, helical), as per soil conditions.
To support solar project structural design and drawings by taking engineering input from technical specifications of the project and ensure optimum RCC and Steel structure design solution.
Able to perform independently along with the draftsmen incorporating the GA, Construction drawings, design reports and BOQs of utility scale solar PV projects.
If required shall demonstrate the design at client office locations or end clients.
Should be able to guide the drafting team time to time and ensure the deliverable targets for the projects and shall also be open for the site visits in India and abroad during construction of structures for checking.
Co-ordinate and develop design criteria and construction specifications.
Prepare and monitor schedules for deliverables.
Attend project co-ordination meetings and liaise with site team, clients and EPC contractors.
Check the designs and drawings.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff.
Essential Criteria :
Degree or Post Graduate in Structural engineering.
Minimum of 4 to 8 years experience in design of steel and RCC structures
Preferably minimum of 2 years experience in MW scale solar PV plants).
Knowledge of RCC or Steel design, construction and erection of large scale projects.
Prepare and co-ordinate detailed designs for Industrial buildings, steel structures including but not limited to solar PV module mounting structures using cold formed steel members.
Excellent communication skills with ability to produce high-quality design reports and drawings
Able to understand the design requirements and gather site specific information.
Able to support in preparation of bill of quantities and tenders
An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar projects
Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team
Prepare design spreadsheets for loading calculations and manual design check.
Competent user of STAAD Pro, Autocad and Microsoft packages. Knowledge of the ANSYS, SAP2000, MIDAS will be added advantage.
