Principal Software Engineer - Full Stack

Sentinel Healthcare is an innovative and high growth startup focused on remote patient monitoring that has received a YCombinator Award, participated in the Stanford StartX Accelerator, and received a National Science Foundation grant.

We are looking for a high performing principal backend software engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate must be able to tackle the daily challenges of a fast paced startup environment while leading the architecture, design and development of our cloud platform.

Requirements :

  • Take on a lead role in the architecture, design, and development of the cloud platform used by our customers daily.
  • Develop and maintain key aspects of the technology base.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Eager to learn, while exhibiting a positive attitude
  • Advocate for modern agile software development practices that deliver high quality code : continuous integration, test, deployment practices and tool sets
  • Location :

    Qualifications & Skills :

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • A proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments with deep dive analytical skills
  • 4+ years of experience building distributed highly scalable solutions
  • Experience with system design and architecture
  • Experience in AWS serverless technologies : Lambda, API Gateway, Cloud Formation
  • Proficiency in Relational and non-Relational (NoSQL) database systems
  • Experience in React
  • Dedicated to producing quality code through best practices
  • All code delivered with use of unit tests, and integration tests; experience with Jest a plus
  • Experience with BitBucket / BitBucket Pipeline, Jira
