As a Senior UX Interaction Designer you will be part of a UX design team that defines end-to-end digital experiences of products and solutions on web and mobile platforms.
Our approach to user experience is grounded in design thinking where we work with our cross-functional product teams to build empathy for our users and then define, build, validate and iterate design concepts;
this enables us to build compelling products that resonate with the people who use our products.
The Job
The Senior UX Interaction Designer is resourceful, innovative and collaborative. This individual will support and lead UX efforts for a product domain area, focusing on both the in-product and end-to-end client experience.
He / she will skillfully facilitate stakeholder communications and have strong conceptual problem-solving skills. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong handle on IXD & UX research best practices and lean methodologies.
This position will support and report to a UX Manager.
A day in the life
Collaborate with project contributors, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to create user-focused concepts and interactive solutions for web-based interfaces.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of competitive products and experiences
Effectively communicate concepts with authority and conviction
Test conceptual designs and iterate on them with clients and prospects
Plan and run usability testing, synthesizing the results into actionable recommendations
Develop detailed deliverables and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate UX designs and product requirements
Research and resolve issues using appropriate resources
Required Qualifications & Skills
This role requires a talented self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and the following skills :
Must have
Proficiency in prototyping tools (Axure) and industry standard design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch)
Excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and the confidence, passion and bravery to push the limits for UI and UX.
Ability to see the relationship between individual design implications and the impact on the total user experience.
Experience working with Agile development teams
Expertise in Design Thinking and Lean UX principles & techniques
A highly collaborative, flexible and communicative nature
Ability to work in self-directed fashion
Mastery of general visual design principles and heuristics
Experience creating user journeys, personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes and prototypes
Excellent problem-solving skills to simplify solutions and end outcomes
Mobile design (native & web) experience preferred
Strong attention to details
Plan and estimate work, setting clear expectations with your product team.
Excellent time management and organization skills to manage demanding and competing priorities
Ability to communicate (both verbal and digital) design concepts and end deliverables effectively in a cross-functional product development team
Good to have
Expert level knowledge of competitive products & experiences
Basic understanding of accessibility guidelines and designing for visual disabilities
Interest in tracking user metrics to inform design decisions.
Proficient with quantitative and qualitative research methods
Ability to lead and adapt to changing priorities
Stay up-to-date with current web development technologies.
Ability to coach junior members of the design team
Qualification & work experience
BA / BS degree in Design (UX, HCI, Information design) or a related field (digital art, graphic, visual communications Industrial, CS) or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience in a related field.
Demonstrated experience in crafting usable digital interfaces

Must have a portfolio of past design work (highlighting individual contributions)
