Key Responsibilities for this Role
Developing 'Idealized' automated CI / CD processes, and working with teams to implement those processes in SSGA’s DevOps technology stackConfigure build servers to execute the CI / CD processes in a clear, maintainable manor, with high-visibility into the build, test, and deployment phasesWork with application teams to help them adopt continuous build, inspection, testing and deploymentHelp to configure DevOps stack with regards to performance monitoring, analytics, and audit-abilityParticipate in all aspects of DevOps Engineering and promote industry standard methodologies in DevOps EngineeringCommit to ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance for customers in our Production environmentPrioritize, rapidly assess and remediate production level issues and lower region issuesWork with the Development, project / product management organizations to align projects, releases, patches, and other effortsDevelop and maintain installation, configuration and operations proceduresWork with a group of highly motivated DevOps engineers and systems administratorsMonitor support contracts and licensingWork collaboratively and knowledge share with other divisions and corporate counterparts to foster the mindset of continuous improvement across the environment
4 to 6 years in IT with at least 2-3 years of software related DevOps experience is required (software development with DevOps engineering / release engineering preferred)Understanding of SDLC, DevOps / Release Engineering, and Automated deployment processesKnowledge & Understanding of (including configuring and adopting) build tools like Ant, Maven, and GradleExperience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Artifactory & Atlassian Suite (Bitbucket, Fisheye / Crucible, JIRA, Confluence)Experience with git is requiredExperience with Linux and Windows.
i.e. willing to revamp / optimize Ant or Gradle scriptsYou will have the opportunity to influence DevOps tools and techniques used as well participate or lead technology evaluations or proof of concepts so remaining active and current on technology trends is essentialExperience with Elastic Search, IBM Jazz, Rational ClearQuest & ClearCase experience a plus
