Position Summary :
This role is responsible for the India based team, mainly located in Bangalore, India for the Enterprise Technology Solutions Team.
The role will have accountability and responsibility for delivering ERP solutions for the APAC region and administrative responsibility for the matrix team based in India.
This role will drive a digital culture, new capability adoption, and alignment to broader Thermo Fisher business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities :
Attract, hire, and retain a team (150+) to support the growing needs of our Groups, Functions and Regions across the company.
Accountable for delivery of the Enterprise Technology solutions for the APAC region.
Responsibilities :
Day to day local management of the India IT CoE ETO ETS team (150+ FTEs)
Operational liaison with global IT managers, including managing service levels and creating any necessary service improvement plans
Adopt, improve, and scale the business partnership models across different Group / Function / Region IT teams within Thermo Fisher
Enable digital innovation using next generation capabilities that drive growth, productivity, and digital transformation at Thermo Fisher.
Develop strategy and build operating models for APAC on how our back-office applications can serve our business needs across the company.
Delivery of end-to-end processes and technology solutions that meet business requirements and delivers or exceeds the business case requirements and outcomes.
Provide leadership to complete detailed design and deployment of the solution (including processes, systems, data, and integration) ensuring a consistent level of detail across functional and technical areas.
Provide expertise, both industry and process, on solution design and open detailed design issues.
Provide leadership to actively manage scope, financials, minimize global template deviations and customizations. Ensure that the approach consistently adheres to the guiding principles and enterprise standards.
Develop new ways to accelerate the identification of process standardization and digitization opportunities across Thermo Fisher.
Build an environment that fosters innovation to enable the team to experiment with new technologies and address business issues using PPI.
Build strategic internal and external partnerships to enable innovation, scale, and speed.
Design and build an effective communication and collaboration model across the team
Drive continuous improvement and process simplification.
CoE Responsibilities : Service Delivery, Incident Management, Major Incident Management, Performance Reporting, Relationship Management, Compliance Management, Demand Management, Service Level Management
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and / or Business Administration or a related discipline
5+ years of experience with large-scale ERP implementations in a compliance-driven enterprise environment and a strong track record of delivering projects across multiple groups / divisions
5+ years of management of other professionals with progressive growth in management and leadership responsibility
A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in technical area such as Architecture, Software Development, or Digital Technology
At least 5 years of business partnership experience with exposure to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of experience in technology program management
5+ years of experience in creating, leading, and scaling IT COEs (Center of Excellence) across enterprises
Deep knowledge of ERP business needs in a high-growth environment and hands on experience with top-tier ERP systems
Ability to build, communicate, and effectively manage a budget and business plan
Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making skills, and problem-solving aptitude
Exposure to software development and experience in building Scrum teams for rapid software development
Experience in resolving complex business, systems, change management and program delivery challenges.
Creative and innovative thinker with strong collaborative leadership skills to work in partnership with global senior leadership teams.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Knowledge to build and manage IT- business relationships, facilitation, communication, and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to work with large cross-functional teams.
Ability to identify opportunities for business value and process improvement, communicate strategies, and champion adoption to achieve desired results.
Cross-cultural sensitivity and fully understand and adopt Thermo Fisher values and leadership model in daily management work.
Strong program management experience with the ability to handle competing priorities and ambiguity
Operations focused mindset
Excellent knowledge of IT solutions, recent technologies and understanding technology trends.
Good mix of technical and business background. Positive, collaborative and solution-oriented attitude.
