related services to institutional investors. OPS Group Description : Broker Dealer Operations is responsible for the support of the global Sell Trading and US custody of AB’s Private Client business.
The broker dealer is a registered subsidiary entity in multiple countries with multiple exchange memberships which operates across 45 markets.
For each regional location, a broker dealer operations support team is in place to support local activity but works within the global support framework to provide the highest quality of service to internal and external global client base.
Since 2012 the operational functions have been outsourced to a major industry provider leaving a global team of 33 highly skilled individuals in broker dealer processing and regulations to provide the necessary oversight for the daily activity.
The global team supports a global sell side business with yearly revenues of approximately $400mm and nearly $90B in private client assets.
India based Back Office Operations Operations This desk also uses our own proprietary algorithms to execute order for foreign institutional customers.
The operations team role is to provide primary support to the core post-trade execution functions that layover both Indian and other APAC markets.
This position interacts with multiple groups including the trading desk, technology, global operations, compliance and legal as well as local Indian Banking & Back Office vendor.
This role is in the India Broker Dealer Operations team part of the Global Operations group. based equity trading desk. Specific responsibilities may include : Interacting with clients, equity sales traders, sector traders, and operation teams globally to provide support by booking trades, matching allocations, and escalating issues to trading desk stakeholders .
Execution of India specific KYC processes. Tracking transactions, redemptions and rejections statuses. Tracking renewal due status and follow-
ups Resolving trade breaks, ensuring compliance with regulatory rules, and resolving settlement issues by liaising with exchanges & client custodian banks to close any issues Monitoring the processing of all equity transactions between global / local order management systems, a proprietary global middle office system and India vendor based back office systems, troubleshooting issues if any Daily reconciliation of cash & securities accounts to include settlements, corporate actions, dividends, stock loan, etc.
