The role requires anexperienced developer to independently deliver changes for projects impactingCustomer system (Mainframe) platform.
Whatwill you be doing?
Following are key activities expected from the role for Customersystem application.
A track record of successful developerroles undertaken on large projects with technically complex architectures
Experience in a large commercialorganization in a developer role
Excellent communication skills to businessand technical stakeholders
Ability to translate business requirementsinto technical designs and interpret requirements into low level specifications / Application code.
Proven experience of writing and reviewingdetailed design specifications & Mainframe application code.
Full life cycle experience including Technicaldesign, programming, testing, implementation and support
Mandatory Strong expertise in Mainframetechnologies i.e. COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, TWS (Scheduling), IMS, StoredProcedures, SPICE, REXX and tools such as Endevor, Abend-
Aid, File-Aid, DB2platinum etc.
Knowledge and experience of more than onerecognized development methodology e.g. waterfall, Agile
Deliver projects within agreed timescalesand budgets
Liaise with technical delivery managers,keeping them updated on release progress against milestones, risks, issues andfinances
Identify own development needs andproactively drive development of own capability, using all available means, toachieve world class standards
Support / Lead evaluation and review ofemerging delivery methods, tools and standards (for e.g. DevOps, IDE,Automation).
Apply new ways of working as appropriate
Ensure that all governance, risk policies,procedures and compliance policies are adhered.
Whatwe’re looking for :
Engineering Graduate with Technicalbackground.
Mainframe Application Development / TestingExperience between 4 6 years.
Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Exceland Microsoft Visio.
Excellent Technical knowledge in mainframes(COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS DB / DC) is mandatory.
Functional knowledge in Customer relatedprocessing would be an added advantage.
