ACCOUNTABILITIES : Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents software according to Dell s systems quality standards, policies and procedures.

Analyzes business needs and creates software solutions. Responsible for preparing design documentation. Prepares test data for unit, string and parallel testing.

Evaluates and recommends software and hardware solutions to meet user needs. Resolves customer issues with software solutions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

Works with business and development teams to clarify requirements to ensure testability. Drafts, revises, and maintains test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.

Executes test procedures according to software requirements specifications Logs defects and makes recommendations to address defects.

Retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved. Documents evolution of testing procedures for future replication.

May conduct performance and scalability testing. RESPONSIBILITIES : Plans, conducts and leads assignments generally involving moderate, high budgets projects or more than one project.

Manages user expectations regarding appropriate milestones and deadlines. Assists in training, work assignment and checking of less experienced developers.

  • Serves as technical consultant to leaders in the IT organization and functional user groups. Subject matter expert in one or more technical programming specialties;
  • employs expertise as a generalist of a specialist. Performs estimation efforts on complex projects and tracks progress. Works on the highest level of problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.

    Documents, evaluates and researches test results; documents evolution of testing scripts for future replication. Identifies, recommends and implements changes to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance strategies.GENERAL SUMMARY

    The requirement calls for a self-motivated and experienced SAP FICO Functional Consultant (Record To Report process) to play a lead role in the SAP IT support team in Bengaluru.

  • Leading the resolution of SAP FICO business queries and problems for a complex Record To Report process, requiring excellent analytical skills on case-by-case issues.
  • Leading continuous improvement in FICO through problem management and root cause analysis.
  • As Subject Matter Expert (SME), identifying opportunities for FICO process improvements and automation to drive scale and efficiency.
  • Primary point of escalation and expertise for less senior teammates. Also expected to play a coaching role as the principal SME.
  • Coordinating testing and deployment of FICO changes in SAP ECC.
  • Support and training of SAP FICO business users on new or changed functionalities in SAP ECC.

  • Bachelors (Tech) or equivalent, as well as SAP FICO certification.
  • 8-12 years FICO experience.
  • FI expertise in GL, A / P, A / R, AA, consolidation, financial close and reporting.
  • CO expertise in Cost Center Accounting, Cost and Revenue Element Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Order, Profitability Analysis and Product Cost Controlling.
  • SD and MM integration with FI module, including revenue recognition activities Any prospective hire needs to have worked extensively on FI-SD and FI-MM integration.
  • Configuration and customization experience in the area of : creation and grouping of Customer and Vendor Master Data, creation and maintenance of Field Status Groups, Posting Keys, Document Types, Posting Periods and Dunning / Payment processes in AR / AP.
  • Vendor Payment : SAP FICO experience in banking, AP Outgoing payments and Open item clearing in A / P, Automatic Payment Program for A / P including Partial Payment Configuration.
  • Project Systems experience - WBS Element, Project Settlement, Project Builder, Project Budgeting, Appropriation Request, Project Commitment.
  • Tax : Experience with international sales / use tax, treasury / cash management, and inter-company processes, External Tax engine (e.
  • g. Vertex) Controlling Module (CO Assessment / Distribution, COPA, Product costing).

  • SAP New G / L and parallel ledger approach, foreign currency valuation & customer / vendor reclassification
  • LSMW : Expertise on Legacy system data migration, LSMW.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or other service management application, and knowledge of ITIL processes.

  • Strong customer and service orientation with experience in end-user support.
  • A natural curiosity for problem-solving and strong desire to understand the root causes of issues. Strong analytical skills, including trend analysis and presentation of problem analysis.
  • Experience with playing a lead role in FICO support teams. Ability and desire to coach less senior colleagues to improve the quality of the overall support team.
  • Experienced in being accountable for complex cross-functional issues and overall health of the FICO processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to support a global business user population. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical business users.
  • Strong business-partnering skills and ability to establish relationships with cross-functional and global partners.
  • Self-motivated, creative and confident, with strong interpersonal and team-working abilities.
