  • Background Successful candidate will for part of a new HSBC Securities Services (HSS) IT Markit EDM team, as part of Global Banking & Markets.

    This team will support a number of critical business lines and systems, specifically the Funds Services Data Provision. Funds Services Data Provision programme Markit EDM provides data consolidation, enrichment and distribution back to clients, both for client’s operational and regulatory reporting.

    It supports a global business as part of a strategic, multi-year programme enabling outsourcing of our clients back and middle office to a wide range of clients in Europe and Asia.

    Principal Accountabilities

  • Analyse current testing approach under Funds Services Data Provision programme and propose Test Automation feasibility for automation testing
  • Perform feasibility study around various Test automation tools and recommend test automation solutions
  • Automate UAT and OPS Test Automation Regression suites
  • Build test automation framework that fits the business needs
  • Own maintenance activities around test automation requirements
  • Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • The candidate must have the ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
  • The candidate must have the working experience of various Test Automation tools, for example (Selenium, Fitnesse, Cucumber, etc.).
  • The candidate must have experience in developing Test Automation framework using BDD.
  • The candidate must have experience on scripting languages like Java, Perl, Python, C #, etc.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable of Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Maven, GitHub, and SVN.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in ETL Testing concepts and possess working experience of SQL Server / Oracle DB technologies
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in Page Object Model (POM) / HTML5 technologies
  • Nice to have knowledge and hands on experience in Markit EDM / Informatica
  • Nice to have knowledge and hands on experience in banking industry, ideally, investment bank / Capital Markets.
