Primary Responsibilities :
As a senior Web application developer designing and developing a seamless user experience for Micro-frontend-based web portal of Optum’s Engineering Experience platform
Be a core contributor of code, tests, automation, application design and architecture on an agile team of engineers working across the stack
Integrate the Micro-frontend Application with downstream REST APIs, Apache Kafka Streams, and other Data Engineering platforms
Deploy applications at scale on container platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes
Solve tough technical problems at any level of stack (Backend / Frontend / Database / Infrastructure) and be persistent in getting to the solution
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, to plan and execute engineering solution, infrastructure and business objectives
Develop and Implement standards, best-practices, templates, styles and libraries to provide a consistent user experience
Evaluate, test, and provide technology and design recommendations to leadership team
Perform code reviews to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high-quality standards.
Build scalable, highly performant, fault-tolerant, resilient software product, and web application.
Write detailed documentation on system design and implementation
Own or assist in incident and problem management and actively participate in regular and On-call support
Guide and mentor junior developers
Staying up to date with the latest web technologies and UI design principles
Design and develop proof of concept prototypes for advanced features and designs
Collaborate as part of the scrum team in daily stand-up, grooming user stories, defining and development of acceptance criteria for the user stories and other agile ceremonies

Required Qualifications :
Degree in IT or Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
7+ years of overall experience in software engineering and development
6+ years of experience in delivering enterprise-class web applications
Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.
Experience creating or maintaining large React applications
Experience in setting up CI / CD pipelines and deploying applications preferably in OpenShift or Kubernetes using Jenkins or similar
Experience in micro-service architecture and integrate REST API, implementations using asynchronous communication patterns
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience leading projects and mentoring engineers
Knowledge in the design, development, and use of component-based architectures, preferably React
Expertise in JavaScript / ES6 / Typescript and at least one front-end framework such as React / NextJS (preferred), Angular 2+, Vue
Expertise in Modern web app testing frameworks (e.g., jest, enzyme, karma or jasmine)
Expertise in HTML5, CSS, and CSS pre-processors (Sass or Less), Responsive design
Must embrace and demonstrate ability to be a continuous learner
Strong understanding of UI performance metrics, as well as how to capture and interpret them
Comfortable working with a remote team operating in multiple time zones
Strong communication skills across the board, with a passion for finding and sharing best practices, and driving greater discipline across organizations
