Supports Lead Engineer / Area Lead in performing 3D modelling and other piping layout related activities.
Performs all piping layout activities for the assigned unit / design area meeting manhour budget and project schedules.
Preparation of plot plans, equipment layouts, 3D modelling, piping MTO’s, IFC deliverables of the assigned unit / design area.
Reports actual piping progress including 3D modelling and controls men-hours and delivered documents of the assigned unit / design area.
Coordinates with project personnel, vendor’s representatives and project field personnel to gather and give information.
Coordinates with other disciplines for performing the assigned task for piping in multidisciplinary project.
Coordinates with CAD team for 3D modeling / material database related subjects
Performs interdisciplinary checks as required.
Working with Client / PMC for resolving the Technical queries, obtaining the necessary technical approvals, etc
Issue documents / drawings according to various statutory approval requirements like IBR, OISD, PESO etc.
Working with the vendors for Kick Off Meetings after the award of the PO, review meetings for discussing the technical queries and the solutions, keeping a track of the vendor’s activities and the progress.
Review of vendor deliverables to ensure their technical compliance. Provide necessary inputs to other disciplines.
Attending model reviews with client and ensuring closure of comments as directed by Lead engineer.
Maintaining input documents & deliverables as per Quality Management System
Supporting the proposal efforts for various projects bids
MAIN TASKS :
Exercises following :
Overall delivery of technical deliverables of the assigned work
Technical issue resolution for layout / 3 D modelling issues
Technical and operative interface activities with other departments for assigned task
Performance of engineering activities and issue deliverables related to 3D modelling, piping studies and layout issues
Prioritization and planning of engineering activities and deliverables
Responsible for achieving department / project KPI objective, productivity, milestones in a multidisciplinary task force for assigned task
Performs and reviews 3D modelling activities and provides inputs to other disciplines for completion of engineering activities of the assigned work.
Supports field technical issues and others in technical communications with clients / vendors when required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, with at least 5 years of overall industry experience
Practical work experience of minimum 5 years in piping engineering to demonstrate as experienced piping engineer.
Have worked as Unit / Area lead for at least 1 project in multi discipline detailed engineering team in Oil and Gas sector.
Shall have experience in preparation of Design basis, various specifications, design and construction standards required for piping design.
Exposure to various ANSI / ASME / API / ASTM, OISD, IBR and IS codes and standards as well as various PMC standards.
Should be able to perform piping studies directly in 3D model for piping connected to various type of equipment like Columns, Exchangers, Vessels, Pumps, Compressors, reactors, Tanks etc.
Clear understanding of IFC Isometric issue work processes and checking requirement.
Field execution experience will be an added advantage.
Capable of providing Value Engineering inputs in the assigned unit / area.
Proficiency in 3D modelling tools like PDS / PDMS / SP3D and their associated software’s.
Should have a sound knowledge of work processes involving latest engineering tools
Proficient in 3D model review in SPR / Navisworks.
Good understanding of basic stress & support related piping concepts
Advanced analytical, problem solving, accuracy, attention to details, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to establish and meet deadlines for the team, manage priorities, and effectively achieve the goals in fast paced environment is critical.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is essential. Ability to foster communication within diverse cultural environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT : Spends most of time in a temperature-controlled office environment. If required shall go to site deputation / international deputation.
