Responsible for the Nursing Educational Department and for the training provided to the nurses.Ensuring educational activities are congruent with mission, goals, values, priorities, and resources.

Providing an appropriate climate for learning, plan, and presenting educational activities and directly or indirectly fostering the development of competence in the nursing staff.

Assisting learners to identify both their learning needs and the effective learning activities. Identifying changes that should be made in nursing practice using an evidence-

based Practice.Assisting with the integration of new learning into nursing practice and serving as a resource for nurses in identifying problems, identifying available internal and external educational resources, and selecting educational options.

Designing, creating, and applying research by supporting the integration of research into practice and helping to develop staff members’ knowledge and skills in the research process, as well as fostering the use of systematic evaluative research with regard to clinical, educational, and managerial data.

Maintaining clinical competence in their area of specialty.Integrating ethical principles in to all aspects of practice.

Guides the subordinates for organizing the induction programme- Nursing HOPE, In-service education to the nursing staff as well as the certificate programme like ACLS, PALS, and NALS according to the area of work, and to organize the conferences, workshops according to the nurses needs.

Providing ongoing evaluation of the quality and effectiveness of the educational activities to ensure that they maintain and enhance professional development that promotes the delivery of cost-

effective high quality healthcare.Evaluation of his or her own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, relevant statutes and regulations, and maintaining continuing professional nursing competence.

Collaborating with others in the practice of nursing professional development at the institutional, local, regional and state levels.

Participating in and using evidence-based research to identify strategies for improving professional development activities, nursing practice, and patient outcomes.

Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning, delivering, and managing nursing professional development activities.

As a recruiter : Recruits qualified applicants for licensed practical nurses, graduate nurse positions, or positions requiring registered nurse licensure.

Verifies nursing licensure. Screens and refers qualified applicants to nursing management for follow-up interview.Interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and proceduresRelies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Discusses long range nursing needs with management and Human resource to prepare and implement a recruitment program.Contacts colleges and participates in job fairs to find nursing candidates in co-

ordination with the Human resource Department.Provides information on organization facilities and nursing job opportunities to potential applicants.

Develops implements and monitors nursing retention programs.Performs reference and background checks on applicants. Coordinates the internal job posting program for nursing positions.

Other Activities : Accountable for Orientation program and the training activities and to maintain accurate records on the above mentioned activities.

To develop competency as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the staff and their performance half yearly and annually and to train the nurses appropriately with the subordinates.

To plan for the crisis management in coordination with the Nursing Director.Responsible for maintaining JCIA standard in Training nurses.

Attending departmental meetings to identify the learning needs and plan training programme accordingly.Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Participate in the hospital Quality Improvement Program; and monitor quality indicators.
