Job Description

The Global Sourcing Manager (GSM) manages all sourcing activities within the Medical Affairs and Clinical category for countries (focus on Europe).

The task is to provide high quality procurement solutions to the business / country and to support the responsible GPP in third party management, performance measurement activities and to report cost savings / providing spend overview.

The purpose is to ensure best-in-class delivery of external services and products in the relevant category to support Clinical and Medical R&D projects.

Act as a Business partner to the countries

Your responsibilities :

  • Preparation and execution of competitive bidding, evaluation, price negotiation & contracting in collaboration with R&D line function and / or the R&D Global procurement Partners.
  • Business Partner to Stakeholders
  • Accountable for monitoring and maintenance of contracts.
  • Accountable for spend / savings monitoring and related reporting (dashboards).
  • Accountable for compliance with all the applicable policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with the applicable law and the NFCM control matrix.
  • Work with assigned customer teams to identify, approve, and performance-manage vendors
  • Contribute to vendor audit requests and facilitate corrective action plans
  • Support new vendor on boarding approval in SIM, contribute to vendor audit requests and facilitate corrective action plans.
  • Negotiate, process and deliver quality vendor contracts according to local / divisional standards and guidelines in collaboration with functional partners including but not limited to Legal, Finance and QA understanding content and business drivers with particular focus on protecting IP and freedom to operate
  • Responsible for research market trends and information to support Medical and Clinical category strategies.
  • Identifying opportunities for the improvement of the medical and clinical category within the country - through analysis of historical performance and trends in research activities.

    Minimum requirements

    What you’ll bring to the role :

    University level degree in Business Administration / Economics / Finance / Statistics English Minimum of 5 years working experience, ideally for a multi-

    national organization Worked either in a procurement organization or Medical Affairs organization
