Essential Duties, Critical Success Factors, Responsibilities, Authorities and Required Interactions :

Maintain and manage specific territory by meeting and exceeding sales and unit goals. Provide service and technical support to customers on a regular and ongoing basis.

  • Originate phone calls, respond to incoming calls and provide technical information with regards to chromatography related products and services.

  • Ensure that assigned territory meets sales and unit goals
  • Conduct on-site product demonstrations and / or technical seminars
  • Develop business plans, market analysis and sales strategies for assigned territory
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Manage and maintain information in a customer database system (MSCRM)
  • building referral and lead generation networks, addressing client concerns, and handling calls that require manager involvement
  • Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
  • Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metric
  • Willingness for traveling in around respective territory up to 50% (inside), 75% (outside)
  • Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :

  • Master’s degree or Ph. D., in any Life Science required
  • Proven experience as key account manager
  • Requires analytical thinking and presenting ideas
  • Experience in MS Office and any data base management
  • Able to perform basic mathematical equations and formulas
  • Extremely skilled in the art of negotiation
  • Strong organizational skills, plants and assigns resources in a detailed fashion
  • Previous sales and / or laboratory experience preferred
  • Must be able to present clearly and to large groups, i.e. seminars and training
  • At least three (6) years of experience in Sales or equivalent experience
  • Must have hands-on chromatographic experience in a laboratory setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Experience in Chromatography instruments like HPLC, GC, LCMS, GCMS, SFC, and other Preparative HPLC will be an added advantage for this position.
