Primary Purpose :
Business Support Provide functional application support to business teams, using technical and business knowledge along with process expertise to achieve desired outcomes
Analysis & Solution Design - To evaluate business needs and contribute to the design and development of the business solution
Process Improvement - Review business process and propose improvements that are based on efficiency and productivity
Project & Change Management - Assist in facilitating change across the business effectively. Ensures project timelines and budgets are met
Area of Accountability :
Using established techniques, produce artifacts that clearly articulate
the user interaction, systems and business processes, design intent,
assumptions, constraints and risks.
Create requirements specifications comprising user stories, use cases,
process flows, prototypes, conceptual designs / models, etc.
Oversee teams across the entire SDLC to monitor the design,
development, testing and delivery of new and enhanced functionality
for the platform.
Develop rapport and work with clients / stakeholders to elicit
requirements and determine the best technical approach to address
clients’ business problems.
Leading workshops and facilitating to get the right outcome
Quality of work clarity of user stories for development
team, amount of rework.
Collaboration and Co-ordination
Liaising between business, IT teams and system vendors
Regular collaboration with business stakeholders to shorten feedback
loops and encourage the development of a product which adds value
End User satisfaction
Stakeholder Engagement & Management
Establish and maintain effective relationships with
stakeholders / product owners
Work with the business to identify business process improvement
Time and cost reduction in business process
Establish, maintain and share industry level product and services
knowledge and expertise
Demonstrate self-leadership and guidance to the team and wider IT
community with regard to related technologies
Ensure that initiatives align to IT Strategy
Utilisation of BA tools and techniques
Validation of feature value assumptions and understanding
of this by development team
Delivery of IT Solutions
Shape the processes in the teams to deliver the BA work efficiently
Delivery of BA artefacts completed on time and within budget
Mentor junior BA’s
Time taken from ideation to development readiness
Leadership - Undertake technical leadership, managing and mentoring
other team members within the Cloud team and other Technology
Foster a low-cost, high velocity’ mindset and culture whereby the
team does its utmost to : reduce costs; retire technical debt (anything
that holds us back); and increases the speed with which we deliver
