Role and Responsibilities :

Infrastructure Operations

  • Monitors customer service and maintains network stability, collects and analyzes network and memory utilization, and installs and tests software upgrades.
  • Maintains network hardware and software, including servers, voice, PDA's, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring.
  • Performs analysis of network needs and contributes to design of network architecture, integration and installation
  • Ensure Network / Service uptime maintenance Ensuring that all relevant data is properly collected and stored, such as performance metrics, service levels, server status and both planned and unplanned system outages.
  • Works with consultants to ensure that the computer system platform provides sufficient computing resources to deliver the desired level of business performance.
  • Evaluates network hardware and software requirements and capabilities and makes recommendations. Checks systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the IT help Desk and support staff to all Business Areas
  • Coordinates third-party maintenance for network hardware, software and telecommunications services.
  • Responsible for smooth and timely execution of various IT services such as video conferencing, telephone, data voice video, wireless
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
  • Responsible for various IT Purchases, invoicing and purchase orders, vendor payments and vendor management
  • Responsible for new project rollouts with respect to up gradation in systems
  • Responsible for generating various reports and maintenance of IT inventory management,
  • Responsible for Back office infrastructure management with respect to access controls, CCTV,
  • Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans.
  • Trains users in the operations of office productivity applications
  • Team Management

  • Responsible for Help Desk Team Management and ensure services at all locations
  • Service Level Maintenance Ensure that all Service provider agreed SLA’s are maintained and monitored
  • Skills & Competencies

  • High Leadership, Interpersonal & Management Skills - Essential to have excellent people skills in order to effectively manage the team.
  • Good Communication Skills - Stellar communication skills are necessary to strategize, plan and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Attention to detail - Needs to have a highly focused attention to detail
  • Extensive technical knowledge Should be able to effortlessly switch between the role of Manager and the role of Engineer
