Job description Senior Analyst

Qualification : MBA Finance

Competencies and Skills needed

  • Minimum 60% marks during graduation and MBA level.
  • Strong accounting and financial acumen with the ability to read and interpret financial results.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (such as V / H Lookup, Index Match) and its application in data analysis (using templates, graphs, charts, sensitivity analysis, etc.).
  • Sound grasp of MS PowerPoint and MS Word.
  • Affinity to a sector to be an added advantage
  • Strong research aptitude and ability to present findings in a concise manner.
  • Analytical and out-of-box thinking.
  • Solution oriented approach.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Ability to discuss complex technical issues.
  • Excellent eye for detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deliver superior quality output under stringent timelines.
  • Ability to lead small to medium size projects with two to three supporting staff.
  • Contribute pro-actively to build team spirit
  • Responsibilities :

  • Performing financial due diligence for the purposes of Merger & Acquisitions (M&A), Capital Raising, Financial or Operational Restructuring, including : Analyzing financial data sourced from published financial statements and supporting schedules Performing ratio analysis and studying trends in growth, margins, capital expenditure, working capital etc.
  • Computing and analyzing KPIs of the subject company in relation to the sector Present report results in the form of tables, graphs, charts and sensitivity analyses Perform valuation analysis for potential transactions using DCF, Fair Value, Intangible Valuation, SOTP, among others Develop bespoke models and review using alternative operational assumptions and financing structures that incorporate key risks and uncertainties Perform macroeconomic, sector and business research as part of due diligence or go-to-market’ studies Ability to identify key trends and drivers and comprehend the analyses in a particular industry and measure key operational performance indicators while reading research reports, etc.

    Perform company research covering SWOT and Porters Five analysis Present research findings in a report or presentation format
