Overview : Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional SMTS Systems Engineer to join our SSE BufferChip Team in Bangalore.

Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

The System Level Validation is responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

The individual will help build and maintain server systems for research and development. The systems will be designed to run DIMM performance and stress testing.

The individual will be responsible to configure and run tests for different server configurations, varying components such as memory, processor and BIOS.

The test results would be analyzed and summarized for reporting to the development team. The system validation engineer will be responsible for automating tasks and data collection through test scripts or other means of software programming Responsibilities :

  • Configure servers systems for automated memory performance and stress testing.
  • Install, configure and verify proper operation of new hardware components in a server systems
  • Perform, analyze and report test results on various system configurations
  • Create test scripts / programs to collect and analyze performance data
  • Create and present test reports and performance results Qualification :
  • BS. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5 years' experience in writing scripts and tools for system validation.
  • Knowledge in DDR memory architecture
  • Post silicon validation and debug experience on Serdes / DDR memory controller / PHY
  • Experience writing lab automation scripts using C / Python / Perl & Regression testing
  • Experience with lab instruments like DMM, Oscilloscope & thermal chambers etc..
  • Experience in DEDIPROG / BIOS flashing tool
  • Familiar with server setup enabling Intel / AMD
