The Equity Derivatives businessis made up of three core businesses, Flow, Structured and Financing &Strategic Derivatives and is an integral part of the wider GM ITS franchise.
The COO team within EquityDerivatives provides key day-to-day support to the business across a range ofareas including, but not limited to :
Providing business support to the Trading, Sales, Structuring and Management teams
Driving forward and coordinating business initiatives
Supervision, Control and Governance : Ensuring that the business operates in a controlled and well-governed environment
Expense Management : Efficiency / expense management and control
Regulation : Ensuring that the business implements and aligns with changes in the regulatory environment
The Role :
To work within the Equity Derivatives COO team, based in Mumbai, and take responsibility for the following tasks / roles within the business, with a particular focus on supporting the Global Equity Derivatives Sales function
Focus on Sales management, supporting the production of key sales MI, including production by client and salesperson
Preparation of regular business packs for senior management reporting including the Weekly Business Pack, Sales MI and Business Commentary around sales activities
Participation in and preparation of materials for a variety of key supervisory and governance forums such as the Regional Pulse meetings, Operational Risk Review Committee, Index Oversight Committee, Best Execution, ITAP and Global Product Variant Approval Committee
Perform periodic reviews and tyre kicks on behalf of the business to meet supervisory and regulatory deliverables
Work with the broader COO team in relation to the compliance and control framework within the business, including relevant control and MI monitoring, updating of procedures manuals, assisting with the management and closure of audit points.
Ensure there is a robust supervisory structure / framework across the various desks : Review, improvement, production and monitoring
Ensure compliance with new and existing Regulatory requirements
Fulfillment of ad-hoc requests for senior managers
Liaison with key support areas (in particular Operations, PC, IT and SRM) in relation to the ongoing support of the business and co-
ordination of new initiatives / projects
Help to drive books of work to deliver on key business initiatives
Assistance with the production of presentations for senior management : Regular and ad-hoc
Quality assurance and preparatory work for internal and external reviews
Review and quality control of access and permissions
You have deep knowledge of financial markets, business finance & reporting systems
You have a track record in producing quality analysis for senior management
You have experience in project management / delivery of projects
You have strong academic record
You have experience from one of the following areas : COO, Trade Management, New Business, Operations, Product Control, IT, Controls, Risk.
You are able to work well in a tight schedule
