We are looking for high-potential, flexible, innovative, and forward-thinking professional to join us in ASIN localization Operations team in Hyderabad in order to drive Operational Excellence in non-tech domain of project / program management.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Set the vision, direction, and culture of the business portfolios by managing junior leaders, individual and team performance, setting expectations and illustrating the Leadership Principles in letter & spirit.
  • Develop team goals and metrics that allow for accurate measurement and traction towards solving a business problem, achieve buy-in from a broad spectrum of stakeholders and actively report progress on the goals
  • Own overall customer-management for all the service queues in the portfolio, including quarterly business reviews and maintain key relationships with internal stakeholders locally and around the world
  • Thrive and Operate in the variable & grey environment by addressing situations of low workload forecast, varying customer priorities, changing mix of workload which will impact productivity bar and cross-skilling of resources for most optimum throughput management.
  • Use data to derive decisions. Expect to not have data / incomplete data in very many situations and should have illustrated dexterity in handling such situation by surrogating other metrics or replacing submission with logic and anecdotes.
  • Use the subject matter expertise developed in the portfolio to challenge status quo almost every quarter and identify process improvements, which he / she will subsequently drive till conclusion.
  • Should have demonstrated keen ability to proactively lead the portfolio by sharing advance planning of 1-2 months and by absorbing floating signals from business discussions / forums / documents to integrate portfolio direction with wider org. direction.
  • Setup and execute processes for performing quality reviews to unearth insight or patterns that can be used to drive operational efficiency, further control cost per transaction of the operations teams, and subsequently building data backed business cases
  • Create workload forecasting models and resource management models in order to balance goal delivery vs responsible hiring.
  • Maintain daily operational number-driven focus for self and team on all service queues under the ownership, to identify variances promptly and deploy mid-course corrections where required, in order to meet set goals.
  • Work with product management teams to understand program requirements and jointly develop a solution which solves a larger business problem
  • Assess performance of quality metrics; surface exceptions to the respective teams. Setup and execute processes to enable operations to drive corrective actions as necessary.
  • Create operational policies and processes preferably using industry proven tools such as lean / six sigma to drive operational efficiencies and quality improvement in the operations team under your purview.
  • Set the right bar for the managers and associates on amazon culture and Leadership Principles.

  • MBA from a top ranking institute and Engineering graduate with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Must have strong knowledge of advanced Excel and working knowledge of SQL - working knowledge of other data processing tools (SAS, SPSS, R etc.) is a plus
  • Experience and strong interest in Operations, proven ability to define effective, efficient, and scalable processes and drive continuous improvement through root cause identification and defect elimination
  • Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking; ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems, and perform cost benefit trade-offs
  • Problem Solving : Deliver solutions to complex problems through in-depth data analysis, identification of right root cause using methodical approach with experience, innovation and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills; demonstrated success in achieving buy-in for an innovative, bold and strategic vision
  • Experience developing and presenting to large groups (including senior executives), and comfortable discussing and defending ideas.
  • Strong bias for action and dive deep; ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Self-driven, ability to work independently to develop and execute strategies with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma concepts desired and certification is a plus
  • Experience in e-commerce environment will be an added plus
