The Role : Senior Data Researcher
The Team : Commodities Data is part of the Data Operations and Internal Applications Group, a shared service across the S&P Global CI Data Operations and Transformation Group.
The team is involved in various processes, carrying out tasks involving data collection, standardizing, database maintenance, correction of the data, and publishing.
The Impact : Data is sourced from various sources, and hence it becomes imperative to collect, analyze and ingest data within communicated SLAs and with the best quality.
Data consumed via different workflows directly impactsthe downstream collection process and front-end information being utilized by Clients in decision making.

Responsibilities :
Understand the working of the dataset, be aware of the workflows, and have a good working knowledge of the application
Work with a LEAN mindset & inculcating automation into the process
Ideate and execute Process improvement and mentoring teammates for these initiatives
Involvement in data extraction through advanced SQL, trend analysis, and brainstorming on systematically clean bad data to deliver quality data to clients
Project planning, execution, and control i.e., end to end accountability
Timely and crisp communication to Management and peers about work in progress and challenges
Knowledge share, SOP documentation, Quality control initiatives, Process review
Basic understanding of Agile methodology, Python, SQL
What We’re Looking For :
Graduate ora post-graduate candidate havingan experience of 3 years or more in Oil & Gas, Energy, and Energy trade
Agile and analytical mindset to find process efficiencies, and improvement ideas along with implementation & change management
Working knowledge of Advance Excel and hands-on experience in developing and executing SQL Queries
Soft skills like communication, stakeholder relationship, mentoring
Goal and action orientated, with the ability to organize, multi-task, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working in rotational shifts, night shifts, and flexible hours
Preferred Qualifications :
Certification and hands-on experience in MS-office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of Excel Macro & Data Visualization Tools
Grade / Level : 8
