As the Director of Scientific Applications, the incumbent will be responsible for developing the team and business deliverables.

Will co-own all Talent Matrixes including aspects like recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, training, team assignment, and alignment of employee performance management mechanisms along with the functional global leaders.

Has a close partnership with product management and a strong coordination of PI activities. Engaged with key business stakeholders on a regular basis to understand their perspective and what they need to be successful and factoring that into the business value & delivery Participates in the strategy and business plan through a direct communication with the corresponding Stakeholders (Business VP).

This individual should be able to contribute to the definition of goals with a strong "Business and Customer Value" understanding.

Build stronger connections. Should participate in strategy and translate that into action within his / her teams. Can Identify and recommend new technology solutions to his / her corresponding stakeholders / leaders.

Oversees the correct infrastructure, in order to achieve business goals. Detect technology needs according to their business requirements.

Responsible for providing alignment and direction to his / her teams (from Goals and Expectations directly from the Business / Stakeholders to the Managers and Teams under their responsibility).

This role mentor, coach and develop People Managers and Individual contributors as a responsibility. Support engineering managers under his / her charge to ensure that teams properly follow standardized processes and quality requirements to achieve productivity and operational excellence.

Responsible for providing the feedback from business and stakeholders (directly and indirectly) to his / her organization and teams.

This role will work alongside other Bangalore IT directors and around various technologies, processes and team functions.

Apply continuous learning and improvement to remove barriers to the team's success. Experience Minimum of 17 years experience in IT or Engineering field (strongly ideally related to science and technology) least 5 years are in Senior Manager role with a demonstrated experience managing teams, individual contributors and management level (Manager and / or Supervisory level).

Experience in leading and developing teams in excess of 100 employees & contractors. Experience in leading and guiding a team that is balanced from a skills and diversity perspective Experience in implementing a culture change and transformation of teams Knowledge Has a solid understanding of program dependency management, estimation, and execution based on Agile / SAFe and Lean principles Transformation experience from Waterfall to Agile, Monolith to Microservices & platforming, build & release to DevOps Basic Financial skills including budgeting, forecasting, and justifying.

Skills Leadership and organizational skills along with the ability to remain a team player Excellent at verbal and written developing communication mechanisms, including diagrams, whitepapers, and presentations, to convey complex information and gain alignment and support across leadership and technical teams Able to build consensus and alignment across senior leadership, peers and direct reports, including matrix management.
