The role of the Sr. Support Engineer Oracle APPs DBA to provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical Oracle EBS applications as part of our global customer support team.
The position has the responsibility for researching, troubleshooting and supporting of multiple Oracle EBS modules for our global clients who use both r11i & r12 (12.
1 and 12.2). The role of the Senior Support Engineer- Oracle Apps DBA requires the expertise and skills to diagnose serious issues;
then develop, test, package and deliver fixes for such issues in complex, integrated and highly-configured environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Solve complex customer issues using methodical troubleshooting based on expert knowledge of Oracle EBS applications functionality and technology
Work closely with customers on a daily basis to understand their needs, support business change and deliver a consistently high quality customer experience
Provide remote-based technical support for multiple EBS modules
Support client customizations, sharing implementation and best practices advice
Develop application break fixes for critical product defects
Create scripts to identify, analyze and correct data issues
Manage one or more key assigned accounts as a technical / functional advisor
Be a pro-active contributor to a support organization which is running 24x7x365, this will require the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays and monitoring email regularly outside standard business hours
Provide hands-on assistance using proprietary tools in a test environment or via remote client connectivity
Collaborate with team members in a virtual team environment to extend field experience to different client situations
Contribute to the development and management of knowledge-sharing methodologies, diagnostic tools, and creative processes, to improve the client experience
Additional Duties & Responsibilities
Mentor and train the other team members in the area of own expertise
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Must have skills :
Oracle Apps DBA (11i, 12.1 and 12.2) , Core Database, Oracle RAC, Data Guard, OSSO / OID
10+ years relevant Oracle Apps DBA experience- EBS5+ years direct support of Oracle application end-users in a Corporate environmentExpertise in all major versions of Oracle technology stack including Database, iAS, Forms, Reports, PL / SQL,Java,JVM, and Workflow.
Hands-on operational expertise as an Oracle Apps DBA, with technology including RAC, SSO, Dataguard, High Availability and Backup / Recovery Expertise with Oracle EBS 11i & R12 12.
2 a must , including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration and administration of the applicationMust have exposure to SOA gateway, integration of EBS with OSSO / OID and OAM / OID.
Good weblogic skills. Should be able to troubleshoot and tune weblogic.Must have implementation knowledge of DMZ setupsExpertise in performance tuning across the entire stack Knowledge of Oracle maintenance / patching mechanics and EBS architectureDemonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules
Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving

Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables and relationships
Deep knowledge of Oracle EBS customization / extension methodologies

Desired Qualifications / Nice to have
Experience with administration, installation and / or debug of other Oracle Technology components would be an advantage such as Fusion Middleware, WebLogic components, Essbase, Golden Gate. and OEM
A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful
Functional or technical knowledge of other EBS modules; Financials, CRM, HR, Manufacturing / Supply Chain would be ideal
Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
Experience supporting other major Oracle ERP like PeopleSoft, Siebel, JD Edwards, eBusiness Suite, or Fusion Middleware Components, OBIEE & Application Integration Architecture (AIA), while not mandatory, would be useful #LI-BM1
