Global Procurement Services is responsible for the procurement of all Cisco indirect goods and services enterprise wide.
We serve as the Supply Chain Manager and Procurement arm for all non-production spend with primary responsibility for delivering premier procurement services, contracts and supply base capabilities.
The Contract Negotiation position will play a meaningful role in providing end to end contract services within Cisco. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to :
Drafts, negotiates and closes a wide variety of complex contracts worldwide supporting the area of Telecom (wireless, wireline, and data center services)
Collaborates with all levels of management and cross functional teams to successfully close on project contracts.
Leads and supports the technology and digital transformation within Connected Contracts including the use of cognitive analysis, machine learning and AI to enable an improved end to end contracting experience.
Identifies contract risks and issues, provides solutions and / or engages other subject matter experts to help resolve open risks and issues.
Ensures that final agreement terms and conditions are consistent with Cisco standards, mitigates corporate risk, accelerates time to value and is in the best interest of Cisco.
Affirms that agreements accurately reflect Cisco's policies, code of ethics and aligns with business unit's objectives.
Provides contract administration including obtaining contract approval, electronic signature, filing, tracking and reporting.
Who You Will Work With
You will work within Cisco’s Global Procurement Services team supporting Connected Contracts, where the future of Cisco’s contract services becomes best in class.
5 - 7 years of experience or more in reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, experience in Telecom contracts is a plus
Strong understanding of contract formation (MSA's, pricing schedules, and Statements of Works) terminology and negotiations
Ability to use data and AI to drive contract insights and contract optimization
Digitization skills with experience using Ariba and Seal software is a plus
Demonstrated ability to understand and successfully resolve legal and business issues typically encountered in procurement contracts, preferably in the area of Telecom
Proven ability to lead or work in cross-functional teams in a dynamic global work environment under limited supervision
Ability to influence others of all levels to achieve desired results using effective communications, presentations and analysis
Solid proficiency in computer-based business applications (including Microsoft software products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Ariba contract management or comparable software)
Bachelor Degree with Masters or JD a plus
